Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan while in Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia promoting his new movie Chinese Zodiac (Armour of God 4) which has him doing some of those stunts of his which made him a household name revealed he would be joining Sylvester Stallone in Expendables 3.

Apparently Jackie Chan was invited to partake in The Expendables 2 but turned down the offer at the time to work on some other projects of his and now that he’s done with that he has taken time to go over and decide on the way forward.

According to Malaysia’s Cinema Online the actor had this to say ”Sly had invited me to be in [The]Expendables 2 but I was too busy filming CZ12 and couldn’t make a commitment to the film,”. He further added his reason for joining the upcoming flick and his conditions “But he (Stallone) did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes.

With Jackie Chan asking for a substantial role in the movie which would be some sort of “buddy buddy” movie like Rush Hour, Stallone is working on the script again to suit that purpose which makes me wonder if The Expendables 3 is now going to be some sort of comedy.

Jackie Chan further revealed that he and his Rush Hour Co-star, Chris Tucker, might be working together on a project which is tentatively titled Skip Tracer. According to him, “The script is currently viewed by Chris Tucker,” he said. “Personally, I feel that if he were to pick it up, it would be better if we turned it into Rush Hour 4 but I do think that three movies for the franchise is a perfect ending. It would be better to start a new buddy movie with someone new.
