Renowned Japanese film maker Hayao Miyazaki (Ponyo, The Secret World of Arrietty) who won an Oscar for his 2001 movie Spirited Away has been off the radar for some years now but that would change next year when he resurfaces with a new anime titled Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Is Rising).
Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Is Rising) is loosely based on Tatsuo Hori’s short novel of the same title, written in 1936-1937 which follows a flight engineer, Jiro Horikoshi, who designed the Zero fighter, Japan’s best known World War II fighter aircraft.
Kaze Tachinu will out in theaters in Japan in Summer 2013 before getting a wide release.
